Dear IT /Administrative Colleague,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I invite you to become a member of D.I.S.C., Diocesan Information Systems Conference. DISC membership is comprised of IT and Administrative professionals who are responsible for the purchasing, decision making and utilization of technical software and hardware for their Diocese and/or Catholic organization. Membership with DISC provides an arch/diocese community of IT professionals who share ideas, collaborate on projects and find solutions to challenges that are common in the ministry of technology in the Catholic Church.
Each year a Diocese within North America hosts a conference for our current members and potential diocesan and Catholic affiliated staff. The purpose is to bring Management/Technical/Administrative personnel together for the sharing of ideas and to learn about the latest technology tools and trends that can advance the ministry of the Church. The Board of Directors is confident that you will enjoy a well organized conference that will provide valuable information and resources to bring back to your Diocesan offices. DISC 2010 will be hosted in Toronto! (Don't forget your passport.) Much planning and effort goes into the preparing of a conference. We look forward to see you in Toronto!
Our conference continues to provide quality speakers, professional learning environment and excellent conference venues at cost effective rates whenever possible. This year we look forward to speakers from across the country as well as from our own dioceses. To help present and discuss the hot topics in technology today, we will bring in many national companies such as Microsoft, Cisco and Fig Leaf just to name a few. We will also include a few prestigious members of the clergy as spotlight presenters as well.
Membership with DISC provides you with many benefits and support. Our networking is an invaluable resource! We always provide crucial networking opportunities at each conference. Please join us and help the church accomplish its mission through the field of Information Technology.
Sincerely yours,
Eva L. Casale
D.I.S.C. President
