The official dedication of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial on the National Mall in Washington D.C. this weekend marks the latest monument honoring heros and heroines of our country. There is no other place in our country that offers museums, memorials and monuments that honor our country’s history (Smithsonian Museums), our Presidents (George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Frankline Delano Roosevelt) and our service men and women who made the supreme sacrificefor our country during World War II, the Korea War and the Vietnam War.
Did you know the National Mall is a quick ride on the Metro’s Orange line from the 2012 Diocesan Information Systems Conference hotel?
DISC 2012, hosted by the Diocese of Arlington (July 31-August 3, 2012), will provide a great opportunity for you, your family or friends to visit our nation’s capital region. Make plans NOW to join your colleagues from dioceses across North America to learn and share with one another.
